NATIONWIDE HOSPITAL INSURANCE BILLING DIRECTORY

Launched in 1976, and the successor to a California specific publication, the NATIONWIDE HOSPITAL INSURANCE BILLING DIRECTORY covered claims payment offices for Health Insurance Companies - Indemnity, PPO, POS, IPO and HMO, Third Party Administrators (TPA's), Federal Employee Plans. The Directory listed payment offices for the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Plans, Medicare - Part A, Part B, DME, Home Health and Supplements, Medicaid Fiscal Agents plus State Agencies, State Insurance Commissioners, Tricare and ChampVA.  Also included was a list of Fleets or Groups of Insurance Companies and a text on claims.

Available in traditional book format until 2007, demand for the online KELLYDIRECTORY.COM service led to the suspension of the hardcover publication.

The Directory listed thousands of claims payment offices and included claims direct phone numbers that by-passed automated phone answering systems.  These are still listed in addition to the regular phone numbers and fax numbers, along with over 2,500 toll free phone numbers -- (800) (888) (866) (877). Now they are available through the KELLYDIRECTORY.COM service, along with company internet links.

The Insurance Companies listed are probably responsible for over 95% of the payments made for hospital/medical insurance claims. Those listed are selected from a screening of essentially all insurance companies in the United States.

Using the Directory normally far more than paid for its cost in time, correspondence and phone calls saved. The collection of even one bill that would have gone unpaid usually far more than pays for the Directory.  Using the KELLYDIRECTORY.COM service offers the same.

The Directory has been published since 1976. While there have been others who purported to offer the same information at lower prices, repeatedly clients come back to the original, the - Nationwide Hospital Insurance Billing Directory - known as the Kelly Directory and the "White Bible" also.
